In short: a Chassisworth report is AI-assisted research and opinion to help you ask better questions. It is not an appraisal, an inspection, a title or history guarantee, or legal, financial or purchasing advice. Always have the car inspected in person before you buy.
AI-assisted, and AI can make mistakes
We use artificial intelligence to gather, read and summarize information about a car. AI can misread numbers, confuse similar cars, misunderstand a source, or miss something entirely. We cite our sources and tag facts as Confirmed, Claimed or Unknown so you can check them, but errors and gaps are possible. Check anything important against the original source and the car itself.
Information only, not advice
Reports are general information and opinion. Nothing in a report is legal, financial, tax, investment or purchasing advice. Talk to a qualified professional if you need advice for your situation.
Not an appraisal
Any value in a report is an opinion of market value drawn from comparable sales and the information available at the time. It is not a certified or USPAP appraisal and shouldn't be used as one for insurance, lending, tax, estate or legal purposes. Markets move, and a car can sell for more or less.
Not an inspection
We don't see the car in person. We can't confirm its mechanical condition, rust, accident damage, repairs, originality or whether parts are correct. Photos can hide problems and stampings can be misread or altered.
Not a title or history guarantee
We don't perform title searches and we don't guarantee ownership, liens, theft status, mileage, provenance, numbers-matching status or authenticity. Records for older cars are often incomplete, and a clean report doesn't mean a clean car.
Third-party data
Reports rely on auction results, listings, registries, decoders, public records and other third-party sources, plus what you and the seller tell us. We don't control those sources and can't promise they are accurate, complete or up to date.
Your decision
Whether to buy, sell, bid or set a price is your decision alone. Before buying, get a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified, independent specialist, review the title and documents yourself, and confirm the identification numbers on the car match the paperwork.
No warranties; limited liability
Reports are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the report, as set out in our Terms of Service.
